The total number of confirmed dengue cases in Rawalpindi has reached 34 so far in 2025.
According to details, 4,076 individuals have been screened this year, out of which 34 cases have been confirmed. A total of 222 dengue patients have been admitted and discharged from hospitals, while 8 are currently undergoing treatment. No dengue-related deaths have been reported so far.
In Rawalpindi, 17,528 dengue hotspots have been registered, with 97.93% of them receiving proper coverage.
Twelve union councils in the city have been identified as high-risk zones for dengue. So far in 2025, authorities have discovered 56,162 dengue larvae and recorded positive findings at 9,880 locations.
In response to violations of dengue SOPs, authorities have filed 1,743 FIRs, issued 3,276 challans (fines), and sealed 238 premises.
Additionally, 294 outdoor teams and 889 indoor teams are actively working on dengue prevention efforts. For fumigation operations, 717 IRS pumps, 89 handheld fogging machines, and 40 vehicle-mounted foggers are currently operational.
