KARACHI – Acting on the directives of Additional IG Karachi, the Specialized Investigation Unit (SIU) has intensified its crackdown on online drug trafficking networks across the city.

According to SSP CIA Arif Aslam Rao, SIU personnel conducted a targeted operation in the Sir Syed area, arresting a delivery rider allegedly involved in the online sale and purchase of narcotics.

The suspect, identified as Abdul Hameed, was found in possession of over one pound of crystal meth. Officials stated that the accused procured drugs from Hub and Winder and supplied them to various inner-city localities, using social media applications to coordinate deliveries.

A case has been registered against the suspect at the SIU, and further investigation is underway.
