KARACHI – The Memon Goth Police have solved the case involving the killing of three transgender persons and arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the crime.
According to a spokesperson for the District Malir Police, the bodies of three transgender individuals were discovered on the night of September 20 and 21 near bushes along the service road in Nagori Society, within the limits of Memon Goth Police Station. The victims had been shot dead.
A murder case was registered under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code against unidentified suspects. Acting on intelligence reports and technical surveillance, police conducted a successful operation and arrested three accused identified as Sikandar Jamali, Sohail, and Sikandar Ali Lashari.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime, stating that they were intoxicated at the time of the incident and opened fire in an inebriated state, resulting in the death of all three victims on the spot. Police said Sohail is a resident of Karachi, while the other two suspects belong to interior Sindh.
Authorities added that the arrested men are also involved in street crimes and other criminal activities. Their criminal records are being verified, and raids are underway to apprehend their accomplices. Further investigation is ongoing.
