KARACHI – In a shocking incident, a man allegedly slit the throats of his two young daughters in North Nazimabad’s Kausar Niazi Colony due to financial stress.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Akbar son of Abdul Sattar, killed his daughters — 10-year-old Zainab and 11-year-old Aaliya — inside their home. The accused was later arrested by police.
Initial investigation revealed that Akbar had been facing severe financial difficulties and was under heavy debt. He is the father of six children, including one son and five daughters.
Eyewitnesses reported that neighbors, upon learning of the gruesome act, caught and beat the suspect before handing him over to the police. The crowd was reportedly enraged by the incident.
A case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of his son, Arslan, under relevant sections of the law pertaining to murder. Police have initiated further investigation into the motive and circumstances leading to the tragedy.
