Irfan Siddiqui, incharge of the emergency department at Jinnah Hospital, said that more than 50 patients suffering from stomach ailments visited Jinnah Hospital on the first day of Eid. Complaints of vomiting, diarrhea and indigestion increased due to excessive meat consumption, low water intake and an unbalanced diet.
In this regard, medical experts said that consuming less vegetables and water along with meat can put extra burden on the digestive system. They advised that greater use of salad, vegetables and water with meat can help prevent stomach problems.
