Strong dry winds to keep Karachi’s weather cool with colder nights ahead
Karachi is expected to face strong and dry winds over the next three days, resulting in cooler daytime conditions and noticeably cold nights, according to local weather forecasts.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) says that continental air is dominating most parts of the country, including Sindh, which will keep humidity low and winds gusty. Residents may feel increased chill during evening and night hours, especially in open areas and near the coastline.
Meteorologists warn that the combination of dryness and strong winds could lead to dust and reduced visibility in some parts of the city. People with allergies or respiratory issues are advised to take precautions and avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during windy periods.
No rain is expected during this spell, while temperatures in Karachi are likely to remain lower than usual, particularly after sunset. The PMD also anticipates that the cold wave may intensify further in upper Sindh and Balochistan.
Authorities suggest Karachiites keep warm at night, secure outdoor items that could be affected by the wind, and stay updated on weather advisories throughout the week.
