The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced plans to upgrade 72 public schools into international-standard model institutions as part of efforts to improve the quality of education across the province.
Under the initiative, selected schools will receive modern infrastructure, upgraded classrooms, science and computer laboratories, digital learning facilities, libraries, and improved sports amenities. The project aims to provide students with educational opportunities comparable to leading institutions worldwide.
Provincial education officials stated that the model schools will focus on quality teaching, advanced learning resources, and enhanced student development. Special emphasis will be placed on teacher training, technology integration, and modern teaching methodologies to raise academic standards.
The government believes the initiative will help strengthen public confidence in the education system, reduce the gap between public and private schools, and improve learning outcomes for thousands of students across KP.
Authorities say the upgraded institutions will serve as centers of excellence and may act as benchmarks for future reforms in the province’s education sector. The project is expected to contribute to broader efforts aimed at increasing access to quality education and preparing students for the demands of a rapidly changing world.
