The Airport Security Force (ASF) conducted a major operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport, recovering a significant quantity of gold from a passenger attempting to travel abroad.
According to officials, the suspect, identified as Shahzad Ahmed, was traveling to Dubai when he was intercepted during routine screening. Upon thorough inspection, ASF personnel recovered 18 gold bars concealed inside the passenger’s socks.
Authorities stated that the total weight of the seized gold exceeds two kilograms. Following the recovery, the accused was taken into custody and handed over to customs officials for further legal proceedings.
Customs authorities have confiscated the gold and initiated additional investigation into the matter.
