Monkeypox Alert Across Sindh as Hospitals Ordered to Set Up Immediate Response Units

The Health Department Sindh has issued directives to all DHOs and Medical Superintendents to set up Monkeypox response units in hospitals across the province.

‎Special facilitation centers will be established in hospitals for suspected Monkeypox cases. Instructions have also been given to set up 24 hour active public information and facilitation desks.

‎The public will be informed about the symptoms of Monkeypox and precautionary measures. Authorities have been directed to ensure immediate coordination with Rescue 1122 and timely transfer of patients. Trained staff will be deployed at information desks.

‎Hospitals, surveillance teams, and emergency services have been instructed to enhance coordination. Strict implementation of infection control measures has also been ordered.

‎All institutions have been directed to submit reports within 48 hours.
