An incident of false ceiling collapse occurred on the third floor of Jinnah Hospital in Lahore. The false ceiling fell in front of Surgical Ward No. 4, but patients and staff narrowly escaped.
According to hospital sources, continuous leakage and seepage in the ceilings had weakened the false ceiling, which led to the accident.
Staff members stated that the issue of ceiling leakage and seepage has existed in Jinnah Hospital for a long time, but the administration has not taken any practical steps so far.
Patients and attendants have demanded immediate notice from the concerned authorities and called for measures to repair the hospital building.
