In Lahore, three police officers have been dismissed from service after videos of them filming TikTok content while on duty went viral on social media. According to officials, the officers were found violating uniform rules, misusing their authority, and neglecting their professional responsibilities.
The videos — recorded inside a patrol vehicle and at various duty points — sparked widespread criticism, with many questioning the discipline of the force. Senior police authorities took notice and launched an internal inquiry, which confirmed the officers’ misconduct.
A spokesperson for Lahore Police said that the department cannot tolerate negligence, especially when it compromises the integrity of the force. He added that disciplinary action was necessary to set an example.
Social media users, however, remained divided — some praised the decision for maintaining professionalism, while others argued that the punishment was too harsh.
