RAHIM YAR KHAN – The body of Taifi Butt, the prime suspect in the high-profile Balaj murder case, underwent post-mortem examination at a local hospital in Rahim Yar Khan before being handed over to his family.
According to police, the body has been transported by the heirs to Lahore’s Gulberg Naseerabad area for burial. Authorities said the suspect was killed during an alleged police encounter late Friday night in the jurisdiction of Kot Sabzal Police Station, Sadiqabad.
Sources revealed that Taifi Butt had been brought from Dubai to Karachi and was being transferred to Lahore when his accomplices ambushed the police team in Kot Sabzal, managing to free him from custody. During the exchange of gunfire, Taifi Butt was fatally struck—reportedly by shots fired by his own accomplices while attempting to flee.
