Karachi: A 45-year-old man, Muhammad Shoaib s/o Elahi Bakhsh, who was abducted on July 9, 2025, from the Jackson area of Karachi through a honey trap, has been successfully rescued.
According to police sources, the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs. 5 million for his release. The abduction case was initially registered at Jackson Police Station and later transferred to the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) Karachi for investigation.
A joint operation was conducted by AVCC and Ghotki Police in the riverine (katcha) area of Ghotki, leading to the safe recovery of the victim. The operation was carried out under the supervision of SSP AVCC and SSP Ghotki, utilizing both technical and human intelligence.
The kidnappers managed to escape, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend them. The recovered individual and the complainant expressed gratitude to the police team for their swift and effective action.
