Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday announced the establishment of a medical college in Layyah, marking a significant boost to the region’s education infrastructure.

Speaking at the Honhaar Scholarships and Laptops distribution ceremony in Layyah, the chief minister emphasized her government’s commitment to ensuring that no child in the province is left without access to technology or education.

Maryam Nawaz revealed that the Punjab government has allocated Rs110 billion for the improvement of the education sector, which includes the construction of classrooms and provision of missing facilities across educational institutions.

In a further push for regional development, she announced a grant of Rs1.5 billion each for Layyah and Ghazi University in Dera Ghazi Khan.

Earlier in the day, the chief minister personally distributed laptops and scholarships to students in Layyah, reaffirming her government’s focus on empowering the youth through education and technology.
