REDMOND, Washington — Microsoft has officially expanded its hardware ecosystem with the debut of its next-generation portable computing devices, launching the completely redesigned Surface Pro and Surface Laptop line. The newly unveiled flagship devices are powered exclusively by Qualcomm’s advanced, ARM-based Snapdragon X2 Plus and 12-core Snapdragon X2 Elite processors, marking a major architectural shift for Windows performance and power efficiency.
The highly anticipated Surface Pro continues to pioneer the hybrid form factor, combining a 13-inch 120Hz dynamic touchscreen—with an optional premium OLED upgrade—into a highly portable tablet chassis. Starting at $1,499 and topping out at $3,549 for the absolute highest hardware configuration, the Surface Pro can be customized with 16GB to 64GB of RAM, up to 1TB of internal storage, and built-in Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. The flagship 2-in-1, delivering up to 15.5 hours of continuous local video playback, is available in Platinum, Black, and a new Dune colorway.
Alongside the hybrid tablet, Microsoft also rolled out the new traditional Surface Laptop, splitting the lineup into 13.8-inch and 15-inch form factors to satisfy different portability preferences. Both sizes feature high-color-accuracy LCD panels and share the identical Snapdragon X2 processing tiers and RAM options as the Surface Pro. Battery performance has reached new milestones, offering up to 20 hours of continuous endurance on the 13.8-inch variant and up to 19 hours on the larger 15-inch model.
The 13.8-inch variant starts at $1,599 with a minimum 256GB storage capacity and ships with a compact 39W power supply. It maxes out at $3,449 and includes an exclusive Jade color option alongside the standard Platinum, Black, and Dune choices. The 15-inch version starts at $1,699 with a higher baseline storage configuration of 512GB, utilizing a more robust 65W power charger. While both laptops scale up to a maximum of 1TB of storage, Microsoft has yet to officially disclose the exact premium pricing structure for the fully upgraded 64GB RAM/1TB storage 15-inch model.
