Karachi: Tension escalated in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth and Jamali Goth areas when an enraged group of individuals attacked police personnel with sticks and also reportedly opened fire. According to sources, the attackers damaged a police mobile during the assault, though no injuries to police officers were reported.

Police were conducting an operation in Jamali Goth targeting foreign nationals allegedly residing in the area without legal documentation. Several individuals had been taken into custody during the crackdown.

However, the mob launched an attack on the police team, forcibly releasing the detained individuals and fleeing the scene. Authorities have initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend those involved in the assault.
