Pakistan’s versatile all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has entered the top ten of the ICC Men’s T20I All-Rounders Rankings, marking a major career milestone after a string of impressive performances in the ongoing series against South Africa.
According to the latest ICC update released on Wednesday, Nawaz climbed eight spots to secure the sixth position among the world’s best all-rounders. His rise follows a remarkable showing in the first T20I at Rawalpindi, where the left-arm spinner bagged three wickets and later smashed a rapid 36 off just 20 balls, showcasing his dual impact with both bat and ball.
Despite Pakistan’s narrow defeat in that match, Nawaz’s standout display caught global attention, reaffirming his value as one of the most dependable utility players in the format.
Meanwhile, fellow Pakistani Saim Ayub continues to dominate the all-rounders’ chart, retaining the No. 1 spot with 262 rating points — ahead of India’s Hardik Pandya and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi. In the batting rankings, Sahibzada Farhan moved up one place to 11th, while among the bowlers, Abrar Ahmed slipped to eighth and Shaheen Afridi dropped two places to 16th.
Mohammad Nawaz’s entry into the ICC Top 10 further strengthens Pakistan’s growing influence in world cricket, proving that the country’s all-round talent pool remains among the finest in the T20 format.
