Authorities have opened a money laundering investigation against Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) leader Saad Rizvi after a raid on his Lahore residence led to the recovery of foreign currency, gold, and valuables worth over Rs. 110 million.
According to Punjab Police, the operation was jointly carried out by the FIA and NCCIA. The recovered amount reportedly included 50,000 Indian rupees. Officials expressed concern as Rizvi had no known business ventures prior to leading TLP.
Investigators have now widened the probe to include Rizvi’s family, examining their bank accounts and assets allegedly linked to the party’s financial network.
