Alleged irregularities in government recruitments from Grade 1 to 4 at Sindh Qatar Hospital have surfaced, prompting the constituency’s elected member of the Sindh Assembly Ejaz Ul Haq to demand an investigation.
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan lawmaker has sent a letter to the Sindh Health Secretary, alleging that favoritism was shown in government appointments while local residents of Orangi Town were ignored.
The letter claims that the candidates who were given jobs were not even included in the selected list issued in 2023. According to Ejaz Ul Haq, appointments were made without a merit list in violation of government rules, raising serious concerns.
He said that some candidates were issued appointment letters without complete verification of their documents. The letter demanded that an immediate inquiry be launched to ensure transparency in the recruitment process.
The MQM lawmaker also demanded that the complete record of the 2023 recruitment process and the final merit list be reviewed, while requesting that the issuance of job letters to selected candidates be halted until the investigation is completed.
Ejaz Ul Haq further demanded that the people of Orangi Town be given their rightful share in the recruitment process and that the entire process be completed in a fair and transparent manner.
