Malaria and diarrhea and other diseases are spreading rapidly in the Kachha area of Khairpur due to floods, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to report, cough and skin diseases started to intensify among children and adults.

People are worried due to lack of medicine and treatment facilities in the affected areas and even flood victims are facing severe shortage of clean drinking water and food.

Residents of Khairpur Kachha are at risk of malaria due to the abundance of mosquitoes.

Dozens of children affected by diarrhea and fever and parents worried due to lack of medical assistance.

They complained that no medical team has been able to reach the flood-affected villages yet.

Medical camps have been set up at rescue points, but reaching them is difficult as roads have been cut off due to floods, citizens said.

Victims demanded immediate establishment of medical camps from the government.

Epidemic diseases are increasing day by day due to standing floodwater.

Cough, malaria and skin diseases have become epidemics in the affected areas of Khairpur.

Residents said the government and the health department have completely turned a blind eye and flood victims lie helpless in tents and under the open sky.
