KARACHI: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has rolled out version 5.0.0 of its Pak ID Mobile App, introducing an Urdu menu and several modern features aimed at making the ID registration process quicker, simpler, and fully digital.
According to NADRA, the update caters to both citizens in Pakistan and overseas Pakistanis, offering a redesigned dashboard, smarter search options, and a faster ID cancellation system. The Urdu interface has been specifically designed to support users in rural areas.
Key new features include real-time application tracking through the in-app inbox, online death registration in collaboration with union councils, facial biometric verification, access to family records, appointment booking at NADRA centers, and secure online fee payments for Smart NICs, Child Registration Certificates (CRC), and Family Registration Certificates (FRC).
The app now allows users to complete the entire process on their mobile phones from selecting a service, capturing live photos and fingerprints, uploading documents, and paying digitally to tracking card delivery in real time. For overseas Pakistanis, the app provides a facility to apply for or renew their NICOP, which will then be directly delivered to their international address.
NADRA said the upgraded app ensures faster performance, easier navigation, and a completely paperless experience, urging users to download the latest version to benefit from its advanced services.
