National Games: Pakistan Army Leads with 48 Gold Medals, 9-Year-Old Kainat Ibrahim Shines

Pakistan Army further strengthened its dominance at the National Games by securing 48 gold medals. WAPDA stands second with 14 gold medals, while Pakistan Navy holds third place with 7 golds.

Sindh’s 9-year-old athlete Kainat Ibrahim stunned everyone by winning the bronze medal in the 10,000-meter race, becoming one of the youngest medalists of the event.

In men’s football, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, and Pakistan Air Force booked their places in the semifinals. The semifinals will be held on December 10, while the final is scheduled for December 12.

In the 100-meter sprint, WAPDA’s Samiullah and Faaiqa Riaz claimed the titles of the fastest man and woman of Pakistan by winning their races.

Star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem secured gold with an impressive 81.81-meter throw. Overall, 11 gold medals have been decided in athletics so far.

Key Results

100m (Men):
Samiullah (WAPDA) won gold with a time of 10.30 seconds. Army’s Usman Ali won silver, and Rashid Riaz claimed bronze.

100m (Women):
Faaiqa Riaz (WAPDA) secured gold with 11.40 seconds. Khola Umar (HEC) earned silver, and Tameen Khan (Army) won bronze.

Javelin Throw (Men):
Arshad Nadeem (WAPDA) threw 81.81 meters to claim gold. Yasar Sultan (WAPDA) took silver, while Muhammad Abrar (Army) won bronze.

5000m (Men):
Muhammad Akhtar (Army) won gold with 14:36.41. Aamir Sohail (WAPDA) secured silver, and Muhammad Zohaib (PAF) earned bronze.

High Jump (Women):
Noreen Fatima (WAPDA) took gold with 1.53m. Amtal Rehman (HEC) won silver, and Urooj Ayyub (Army) earned bronze.

Long Jump (Men):
Ansar Abbas (Navy) won gold with a 7.68m jump. Faraz Khan (WAPDA) secured silver, and Rizwan-ud-Din (Army) got bronze.

Shot Put (Men):
Jamshed Ali (Army) dominated with a 16.95m throw to win gold. Nausherwan (Army) took silver, and Sahibzada Kashif (HEC) won bronze.

Shot Put (Women):
Nabila Kosar (Army) won gold with 12.48m. Khadija Mahaveen (HEC) earned silver, and Punjab’s Maimoona collected bronze.

10,000m (Women):
Maria Bibi (WAPDA) claimed gold with 44:21.40. Mumtaz Naimat (Navy) won silver, while 9-year-old Kainat from Sindh earned bronze and received massive appreciation from athletes and spectators.

Pole Vault (Women):
Noreen Hussain (Army) secured gold with 2.90m. Amara Shaheen (WAPDA) took silver, and Uzma Shaheen (Army) earned bronze.

3000m Steeplechase (Men):
Talha Saleem (Army) clinched gold with a time of 9:11.40.
