‎New Cell Therapy Tested for Liver Patients

Experts have tested a new cell therapy which is being described as a real hope for patients suffering from dangerous liver disease.

‎According to the research, this new therapy proved surprisingly effective in a clinical trial.

‎Among the patients who received this cell therapy during the trial, the risk of death or the need for a liver transplant after four years was seen to be significantly lower compared to those receiving standard treatment.

‎Experts say that the liver naturally has the ability to regenerate itself, but when the disease progresses beyond limits, severe scarring and damage known as cirrhosis cause irreversible harm to the liver, ultimately leading to liver failure.

‎Now this new cell therapy has emerged as a major hope for patients for whom the only treatment until now was a liver transplant.

‎According to experts, if future research also remains successful, this treatment could save the lives of millions of patients in the future.
