Police investigating the mysterious death of actor and model Humaira Asghar Ali have revealed that she last used her mobile phone on October 7, 2024, around 5 PM, the same day officials believe she died.
Humaira’s decomposed body was discovered on July 8, 2025, in her flat located in Karachi’s Ittehad Commercial, DHA Phase 6, after a court bailiff entered the premises due to a landlord’s complaint over unpaid rent.
According to investigators, the actor contacted 14 individuals via phone on the day of her presumed death. From the apartment, police recovered three mobile phones, a tablet, a diary, and various official documents. Forensic experts found that two phones were unlocked, making it easier to extract data.
Police say three SIM cards were registered under Humaira’s name, all active in the devices found. Her phones contained over 2,000 saved contacts, with evidence of regular communication with at least 75 different numbers over a significant period.
The post-mortem confirmed that her body was in the final stages of decomposition, consistent with a death occurring about eight months earlier around the same time as the last recorded phone activity.
The investigation is ongoing, with police now focusing on questioning the individuals Humaira last spoke to, in an effort to understand the circumstances surrounding her death.
