A newborn baby girl was found abandoned near a railway dispensary in Kasur district, police said.
According to reports, a one-day-old infant was discovered alive near the railway dispensary. SHO Inspector Muhammad Aslam Bhatti reached the spot and took the baby into protective custody.
Police officials stated that the child was allegedly abandoned by an unidentified woman. Necessary legal and welfare procedures have been initiated, and arrangements are being made to hand over the baby to the Child Protection Bureau for proper care.
Authorities said efforts are underway to trace the woman responsible for abandoning the child.
