The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that only 1,640 seats remain under the Government Hajj Scheme 2026.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, heavy rains and emergency situations in different regions made it difficult for many applicants to submit their forms on time. To facilitate them, the ministry decided to continue receiving applications on Thursday, August 21 as well.
In just 13 days, the ministry has received more than 114,000 applications. A day earlier, around 3,500 seats were still available, but the number is shrinking rapidly.
The spokesperson further stated that as soon as all seats are filled, the process of receiving applications at designated banks will be immediately stopped. Instructions have already been issued to all nominated banks to continue collecting applications until the final deadline
