New Hajj Policy 2025 Brings Flexibility for Pilgrims Facing Illness or Death
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced new regulations for Hajj 2025, introducing flexibility for registered pilgrims unable to travel due to illness or death. Under the revised policy, close relatives will be permitted to perform Hajj on behalf of such individuals.
Officials confirmed that pilgrims who cannot proceed with the journey for medical or personal reasons will also have the option to withdraw their deposited funds. This aims to ensure transparency and ease for applicants facing unexpected challenges.
To process requests, applicants are required to submit specific documents, including a medical or death certificate, an affidavit, bank receipt, and a valid ID card. The ministry emphasized that only cases with complete documentation will be approved.
The new framework is designed to address long-standing concerns from families of registered pilgrims who previously faced financial and procedural hurdles in such circumstances. Authorities expect the move to bring greater convenience and fairness to the Hajj process.
