RAWALPINDI – The Pakistan Army’s senior leadership, under Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has reaffirmed its commitment to eliminate Indian-backed terrorist proxies operating within Pakistan.

Chairing the 271st Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters (GHQ), the top military brass reviewed the internal and external security situation following recent tensions with India, including the brief war that erupted after the Pahalgam incident in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The forum noted that India has increased its proxy activities in Pakistan following its failure in direct military aggression. Despite the war ending in just 90 hours due to Pakistan’s swift and decisive response, Indian-backed proxies have allegedly carried out multiple terrorist attacks in Pakistani territory since.

The conference offered Fateha for the martyrs of these attacks and pledged that their sacrifices would not be forgotten.

“The Pakistan Army will take action at all levels to protect the country from Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

COAS Munir emphasized that Indian ambitions in the region, driven by Hindutva ideology, are being increasingly rejected by neighboring countries. He criticized India for seeking foreign support in a clearly bilateral military matter, calling it a desperate move to falsely portray itself as a “net security provider.”

The meeting also reviewed recent diplomatic efforts by Pakistan. Field Marshal Munir briefed commanders on high-level visits to Iran, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He also highlighted his historic visit to the United States, where he engaged with top US leadership to share Pakistan’s perspective on regional issues.

Discussing regional tensions—particularly in the Middle East and Iran—the CCC stressed the importance of national unity, self-reliance, and military preparedness.

In his concluding remarks, the army chief praised the synergy among the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force and expressed full confidence in their operational readiness to face any threat.
