Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, publicly condemned India’s involvement in destabilizing Balochistan, labeling it as a direct and open act of terrorism. During a meeting with tribal leaders in Quetta, Munir asserted that Pakistan has undeniable evidence of India’s support for terrorist groups operating in Balochistan. He firmly stated that these hostile efforts would be thwarted completely.

Munir emphasized the strategic importance of Balochistan to Pakistan’s future and asserted that peace in the province is non-negotiable. He reassured the public that the Pakistan Army, with the support of the people of Balochistan and the nation, stands ready to defeat any internal or external threats to the country’s peace and prosperity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, alongside Field Marshal Munir, addressed the Grand Jirga at Zehri Auditorium, where the rising security challenges in Balochistan, exacerbated by India’s involvement, were discussed. The Prime Minister blamed India for sponsoring “proxies” like “Fitna Al-Hindustan,” which are allegedly attempting to undermine Balochistan’s development efforts by creating unrest in the region.

Sharif stressed the importance of denying support to such elements and emphasized the need for grassroots unity to combat terrorism and create lasting peace. He also highlighted ongoing federal government development initiatives in Balochistan, urging locals to help ensure that these projects benefit the population and discourage sabotage orchestrated by external forces.

Both leaders commended the sacrifices of Pakistan’s security forces, reaffirming their commitment to supporting the families of martyrs. They also vowed that those involved in terrorism and their backers would face severe consequences.

The tribal elders attending the jirga expressed their full support for both the government and the military, pledging unity against any forces trying to disrupt Balochistan’s peace and development.
