LAHORE: Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi has officially renewed its agreement with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), ensuring the team will remain under its current ownership for the next decade.

The 2017 champions were among the first franchises to complete the renewal process after PCB conducted a detailed market valuation of all teams. With this renewal, Zalmi continue their long-standing partnership with the league, carrying forward a legacy that has significantly shaped PSL’s identity.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised Peshawar Zalmi’s contribution, acknowledging the franchise’s consistent role in strengthening the PSL brand. He highlighted that Zalmi has not only helped the league grow commercially but has also played a major part in promoting cricket culture across Pakistan.

Naqvi added that he is pleased to see the franchise continue under the leadership of Javed Afridi, whose vision and investment have made Zalmi one of the most recognized sports brands in the country.

With the agreement now extended for another 10 years, Peshawar Zalmi are set to remain a key pillar in the PSL’s future, both competitively and commercially.
