Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the regional situation with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations between Pakistan and Qatar and exchanged views on regional and international developments. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in different sectors, including political, economic and diplomatic ties.
The discussion comes amid Pakistan’s continued diplomatic engagement with Gulf countries over regional peace and stability. In recent interactions with Qatari leadership, Prime Minister Shehbaz has stressed the importance of restraint, dialogue and de-escalation to address regional tensions.
Both sides agreed to continue consultation and coordination on matters of mutual interest. Pakistan and Qatar also expressed their desire to further expand cooperation and strengthen their longstanding brotherly relations.
