Gharo police rescued 8-year-old Azaan on Tuesday, ending a terrifying three-day ordeal that had gripped his family and local community. Officers raided a secluded compound on the outskirts of the town following a tip-off, finding the boy unharmed but visibly shaken.

The kidnapping, which occurred Sunday afternoon while Azaan was playing near his home, had sparked immediate outrage. Protesters had blocked the main highway leading into Gharo for several hours Monday, demanding the provincial government prioritize the child’s safe return.

“We tracked the suspects through mobile signals and local informants,” said a police officer involved in the operation. He confirmed that one suspect was taken into custody at the scene, while two others managed to escape under the cover of darkness.

Police are now focusing their investigation on whether the abduction was motivated by a personal vendetta or a demand for ransom. The family had not received a formal ransom call, leaving them in a state of agonizing uncertainty until the rescue.

Azaan was reunited with his parents late Tuesday evening. While the physical recovery is complete, the community remains on edge, with local residents questioning the lack of security patrols in the area where the boy was taken.

The investigation is ongoing, and police expect further arrests as they track the remaining suspects who fled the scene during the raid. For now, the focus shifts from the search to the interrogation of the captive suspect, as authorities attempt to piece together the motive behind a crime that could have ended in tragedy.
