A special polio vaccination campaign has started across Sindh today and will continue until September 7. An inaugural ceremony was held at Super Highway, where Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal officially launched the campaign.
The ceremony was attended by MQM Pakistan MPA Farhan Ansari, MNA Iqbal Mehsud, officials, and staff of the Polio Eradication Program. During the campaign, children under the age of five across the province will be administered polio drops.
Addressing the ceremony, the Federal Health Minister said that the government, parents, and social organizations must work together to eradicate polio. He appealed to parents to cooperate with polio workers and ensure their children receive the drops to protect future generations from disability.
According to officials of the Polio Eradication Program, thousands of workers will go door to door during the campaign to administer drops and ensure that no child is left unvaccinated.
