Prime Minister Expresses Concern Over Recent Polio Case Reported in Diamer

‎Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep concern over the recent polio case reported in Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan.

‎‎In this regard, Federal Minister for National Health Services Syed Mustafa Kamal and Prime Minister’s Focal Person on Polio, Ayesha Raza Farooq, held a meeting with the Prime Minister.

‎‎During the meeting, the Prime Minister took serious notice of the situation and directed the concerned authorities to take immediate action. He emphasized the need to further improve the routine immunization system and called for strict monitoring of union councils where the number of polio cases is high and immunization coverage is unsatisfactory.
