The CEO of Mayo Hospital has been changed over issues related to the shortage of medicines, doctors, and other administrative matters at the hospital.
The Punjab government has removed the Chief Executive of Mayo Hospital from his position and directed Professor Dr Muhammad Haroon Hamid to relinquish charge immediately. Dr Muhammad Haroon Hamid has also been instructed to report to the Specialized Healthcare Department.
Professor Dr Muhammad Shoaib Nabi has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Mayo Hospital. He was previously associated with Services Hospital. The Specialized Healthcare Department has issued a formal notification and directed immediate implementation of the administrative change in accordance with government orders.
