The Punjab government has announced plans to revise the 11th-grade syllabus, following widespread complaints from students and teachers about excessive content and errors in the current curriculum.
According to official sources, the move comes shortly after the ninth-grade syllabus was revised, marking another step in the province’s broader effort to improve educational standards and address classroom challenges.
The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) has established special committees to review, refine, and reduce the content of the 11th-grade syllabus to make it more manageable and error-free.
Officials revealed that preliminary recommendations for the reduction of the ninth-grade syllabus have already been finalized, with an official notification expected in the first week of November.
The latest curriculum reform is part of the government’s ongoing initiative to enhance the quality of education and ensure that course materials are aligned with students’ learning capacities and modern academic standards.
