The Punjab government has announced the launch of Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence across remote regions of the province to provide free, high-quality education to underprivileged students.
According to official sources, 165 tehsils have been selected under the initiative, with applications open for private educational institutions equipped with modern infrastructure to partner with the government.
The last date to apply is November 14, after which selected schools will be designated as Schools of Eminence. Students enrolled will receive free education, while the government will pay Rs4,000 per student per month as tuition support.
The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) will monitor and evaluate the schools to maintain educational standards.
Officials stated that the project aims to bridge the education gap between urban and rural areas and uplift learning standards across Punjab’s less-developed regions.
