The Punjab government will start accepting online applications for 12,500 school teacher intern positions from November 12, according to official sources.
The recruitment process, part of the School Teacher Intern (STI) Program, was initially scheduled to begin on November 10 but was postponed due to incomplete standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the online application portal.
Applicants will need to pay a fee of Rs. 1,000 per school along with each application. The deadline for submissions is November 21, officials confirmed.
This large-scale hiring initiative is aimed at reducing teacher shortages in government schools across Punjab by offering temporary teaching placements to qualified candidates.
The STI program is expected to provide short-term employment opportunities while ensuring that public schools maintain adequate teaching staff throughout the province.
