Lahore: After days of scorching temperatures and humid weather, rain showers brought much-needed relief to residents of Lahore and several other cities across Punjab on Friday. The pleasant weather led to a noticeable drop in temperatures, allowing people to enjoy cooler conditions after enduring a prolonged heat spell.
In Lahore, dark clouds covered the sky during the afternoon, followed by moderate rainfall in various parts of the city. The rain reduced the intensity of the heat and provided a refreshing atmosphere for citizens. Many residents were seen enjoying the cooler weather in parks, markets, and public spaces.
Similar weather conditions were reported in several other areas of Punjab, including Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, and surrounding districts. Rainfall and strong winds helped improve weather conditions and offered respite from the extreme summer heat.
The rain also improved air quality in urban areas by reducing dust and pollution levels. However, water accumulated on some roads and low-lying areas, causing temporary traffic disruptions in certain locations.
Weather experts have indicated that intermittent rain and cloudy conditions may continue in different parts of Punjab over the coming days. Authorities have advised citizens to remain cautious during periods of heavy rainfall and avoid unnecessary travel in areas prone to waterlogging.
Residents have welcomed the change in weather, expressing hope that the recent rainfall will provide lasting relief from the intense summer temperatures.
