Actor Kartik Aaryan reportedly stepped away from the film Crazy Hum, a project associated with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA), after facing scheduling conflicts with another film commitment.

According to reports, Kartik had replaced Aditya Roy Kapur in the project. However, the production later required additional shooting dates that clashed with his ongoing work on a film directed by Luv Ranjan. As a result, he decided to exit the project.

Crazy Hum was conceived as a unique film exploring the behind-the-scenes world of the IIFA Awards. The project was expected to feature actors including Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh.

Industry observers noted that Kartik’s packed schedule and prior commitments made it difficult for him to accommodate the revised filming plans. At the time, producers had not announced a replacement for his role.

And that, in the end, is what gives this story its edge. This is not really the Treasury secretary versus environmental activists, or the Treasury secretary versus diplomatic fashion. It is the Treasury secretary versus a body of scientific evidence that has only grown stronger. He can try to narrow the mandate. He can cut the funding. He can change the language. What he cannot do is make the underlying climate risk disappear.
