Rain Predicted in KPK, Northern Pakistan During Eid Holidays

ISLAMABAD — The Met Office has forecast rainfall across several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, particularly from June 7 to June 9. Areas including Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, and Mansehra are expected to receive showers.

Meanwhile, very hot and dry weather will persist in the plain regions during Eid.

According to the latest updates, moist currents are moving into the northeastern parts of Pakistan, and a westerly wave is anticipated to reach the upper regions on June 3. This system is likely to bring rainfall, dust storms, and isolated heavy downpours or hailstorms to Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galliyat, and various KP districts including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla, Kohistan, and Abbottabad between June 2 and June 5.

Rain and dust storms are also expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, the Potohar region, Lahore, and other Punjab and KP districts such as Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Kohat, Bannu, Karak, and Waziristan on June 3 and 4.

Additionally, southern Punjab may experience dust storms during this period.
