Reham Khan Calls Out Sarah Khan Over Controversial Views on Feminism

Writer and former journalist Reham Khan has openly criticized actress Sarah Khan for her recent comments on feminism, reminding her that her career success is largely due to the women’s rights movement she seemed to reject.

Sarah Khan had stated in an interview last month that she does not consider herself a “big feminist” and prefers traditional gender roles, believing men should fulfill their roles to ensure women live peacefully. She also expressed her fondness for staying at home and her dislike for modern inconveniences like standing in queues to pay bills.

Responding on the FHM podcast, Reham Khan challenged Sarah’s viewpoint, highlighting that as a mother, Sarah should consider the impact her words could have on younger generations, particularly her daughter. Reham insisted that without feminism, Sarah’s flourishing career in TV dramas and advertisements would not have been possible.

Reham further explained that statements like Sarah’s often stem from the deep-rooted history of oppression women have endured. She urged public figures and empowered women to think carefully before dismissing the very ideas that enabled their growth and success.

The exchange has sparked considerable discussion across social media and entertainment circles about feminism and traditional values in Pakistan’s showbiz industry.
