Lahore: Sabzazar Police have arrested two suspects accused of harassing and threatening a college student in the Sabzazar area.
According to police officials, the victim, a resident of Awan Town, was on her way to college when two motorcycle-riding suspects began following her. The suspects allegedly harassed the student, shouted remarks, and repeatedly demanded her phone number.
Police said that when the student refused, the suspects threatened her with abduction and attempted to restrain her by holding her hand. Upon the victim raising an alarm, the suspects tried to flee but were apprehended by police.
A case has been registered against the accused, identified as Saad and Ghulam Fareed, on the complaint of the victim’s father, Zahid. The suspects have been taken into custody and handed over to the investigation wing for further legal proceedings.
SP Iqbal Town Dr. Muhammad Umar commended the SHO Sabzazar and the police team for their prompt action and stated that individuals involved in harassing women would not be shown any leniency.
