LOS ANGELES — Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock is gradually returning to the public eye after taking an extended three-year hiatus from Hollywood to focus on her personal life and family. The Speed star stepped away from major film projects to serve as the primary caregiver for her longtime partner, Bryan Randall, during his private battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Following Randall’s tragic passing in August 2023, Bullock prioritized healing and privacy, maintaining her long-held values of standing by loved ones during the hardest of times.
Marking her first high-profile public appearance since her hiatus, Bullock recently made a rare red carpet return alongside co-star Nicole Kidman to promote the highly anticipated sequel Practical Magic 2. Reflecting on stepping back into the beloved franchise, the actress likened the experience to returning to a comforting, familiar space. Beyond the magical sequel, Bullock has also expressed immense enthusiasm for a future reunion with her longtime friend and co-star Keanu Reeves, stating that before she leaves this planet, she and Reeves absolutely need to do something together in front of the camera once more.
