In Multan, pneumonia cases have started to increase. Due to the cold weather, a large number of innocent children have fallen victim to the disease.
In government hospitals of Multan, pneumonia was confirmed in 48 children within 24 hours. At the Children’s Hospital, pneumonia was confirmed in 27 children.
At Nishtar Hospital, 13 children, at Shahbaz Sharif Hospital 5, and at South City Hospital 3 children were admitted after being affected by pneumonia. Private hospitals and clinics in Multan have also become crowded with child patients suffering from pneumonia.
Doctors have advised parents to protect their children from severe weather conditions and to adopt strict precautionary measures.
