KARACHI: The diploma course in Artificial intelligence (AI) offered by the Aligarh institute of Technology (AIT) was approved by the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) and therefore this is a huge step towards technical education in the province.
As AIT Principal Shahid Jamil attests, the new diploma also carries ultra-modern courses in the fields of robotics, machine learning, and data science and will enable students to have hands-on skills that make them competitive at the global stage.
The decision has been welcomed by the AIT Convener Syed Muhammad Mohsin Kazim, who claimed it to be the potential to a modern education to thousands of Sindhi students as it will promote both educational and economic growth.
The principal and the convener congratulated the AIT faculty and administration and said they hope that through the new program, they will see more students being admitted and the possibility of access to world-class education on AI right at their doorsteps.
This milestone has made Aligarh Institute one of the emerging institutions in the discipline of technology in Sindh.
