KARACHI — In a targeted intelligence-based operation, the Sindh Rangers have successfully apprehended five members belonging to the notorious “Bichhoo” (Scorpion) dacoit gang. The coordinated raids were executed in the Sohrab Goth and Machhar Colony neighborhoods of Karachi. During the course of the operation, law enforcement personnel recovered a substantial stash of illicit items from the suspects’ possession, including unlicensed pistols, a multiple number of snatched mobile phones, and a significant amount of looted cash.
According to a formal statement released by a spokesperson for the Sindh Rangers, the arrested individuals have a long criminal history and are deeply involved in executing major armed robberies and street crimes across various sectors of the metropolis, particularly targeting New Karachi, Baldia Town, and Keamari. Initial interrogation cycles have also linked the apprehended suspects directly to a recent high-profile robbery inside the Keamari mobile phone market. Among those detained is a dangerous habitual offender identified as Ajmal Khan, who had been previously arrested on multiple charges and served prison time, only to resume armed muggings shortly after his release.
The paramilitary forces confirmed that rigorous investigation protocols are currently underway to trace the network’s assets. Simultaneously, targeted raids are being carried out in different parts of the province to track down the remaining fugitives associated with the gang. The recovered weaponry, stolen communication devices, cash reserves, and the suspects themselves have been officially handed over to the local police department to initiate formal legal proceedings and construct a comprehensive prosecution file.
