Sindh unveil squad for 15th National Women’s Softball Championship

The Sindh Softball Association on Thursday released the provincial women’s lineup for the Essa Lab 15th National Women’s Softball Championship, scheduled from December 2 to 4 at the KMC Sports Complex Football Ground on Kashmir Road in Karachi, according to a press release.

As per the announcement, Mercline Perwaiz will lead the team as captain, with Kainat Khan serving as her deputy. Faraz Ejaz has been named head coach, while Naheed Liaquat will take on the role of team manager.

The selected players include:
Deesha Ramesh, Syeda Rutaba Nadir, Ameena Mushtaq, Hiba Siddiqui, Mahnoor Farooq, Eliya Batool, Noor Atka, Tulsi Maheqwar, Laiba Shoora, Aina, Suzaine Bhatti, Maliha Firdous, Farasha Ahlam, Ifra, and Doha.

Sindh Softball Association President Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah stated that the upcoming championship will provide an important stage for women athletes from the province to display their abilities and competitive drive.

“This tournament is an excellent chance for Sindh’s women players to highlight their talent and make the province proud,” he said in the press release.

The three-day event in Karachi will see top women’s teams from across Pakistan competing for top honours.
