The third and final season of Netflix’s globally acclaimed Korean series Squid Game has shattered records within just 72 hours of its release, making waves across the world.
According to international media outlets, Squid Game Season 3, released on June 27, was viewed over 61 million times in its first three days, becoming the biggest global opening in Netflix history.
The series topped the charts in 93 countries and has now become the ninth most-watched non-English language series on the platform, reflecting its massive international appeal.
This season brings even more intense and brutal games compared to its predecessors, sparking mixed reactions from audiences. While some praised the realism and emotional depth of the violent scenes, others criticized them as excessively graphic.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk stated that this season delves deeper into themes of human hope, morality, and difficult choices, presented with greater storytelling precision and emotional impact than before.
