Following the shooting incident at Sydney’s beachfront, Big Bash League side Sydney Sixers have issued a statement regarding their upcoming home match.
The Sixers announced that additional security will be deployed on match day in light of the tragic incident. The management said enhanced safety measures have been put in place to ensure the protection of cricket fans.
In their statement, Sydney Sixers expressed condolences to those affected by the shooting and confirmed that a moment of silence will be observed before the match. Players will also wear black armbands in tribute to the victims.
Sydney Sixers are scheduled to face Adelaide Strikers at their home ground.
